Last month, photogenic 3-year-old Suri Cruise was spotted walking around Boston in a pair of silver kitten heels with her mother. Suri's footwear immediately drew criticism from moms and doctors alike, with podiatrists warning that allowing children to wear heels can shorten or tighten the Achilles tendon. Suri was later photographed wearing a pair of peep-toe sandals out in drizzly Boston November weather.
But Cruise's mom, actress Katie Holmes, doesn't seem too worried about the effect the shoes will have on her daughter's feet. She told US Weekly, "They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids. I found them and she loves them."It isn't the first time Suri's fashion choices have made headlines, as the tot is frequently spotted in prim, girly dresses that are worth more than the entire wardrobes of many American adults.
